Take a look at some of the frequently asked questions about our collision repair work.
We understand that there can be many hesitations and questions that come to mind when choosing the right collision repair facility. Here are a few that come up quite often. Any question you may have that is not answered here can be answered quickly with one simple phone call to us.
Do I have to take my vehicle to the shop the insurance company recommended?
No. There are no laws that give any insurer permission to tell you where to take your vehicle. Numerous laws are protecting you, the vehicle owner, to give you the choice. You are free to choose any repair facility you’d like.
If my car is repaired at your facility, will it come with a warranty?
Yes. All of our repairs are completed with a limited lifetime warranty for the entire time you own your vehicle.
Do you handle claims with my insurance company?
Do I have to get two or three estimates?
What things should I look for when choosing a body shop?
Here are our recommendations for choosing the correct shop:
- Cleanliness and professional appearance of the facility.
- Professional, courteous, and knowledgeable service writer assisting you through the repair.
- Knowledge / certifications of the technicians.
- Make sure the shop writes a thorough estimate. Cheaper doesn’t always mean better. If a shop missed items on the estimate, you could be on the hook for those missed items later, or worse yet, they may not repair the vehicle properly.
- Ask for a tour of the facility. Look for the following things.
- Cleanliness, cleanliness, cleanliness. You want a shop that prides themselves on the fine details. Your car is a very valuable asset to you. Make sure the shop it goes to, is tidy and organized. Vehicles covered with dust and filth, boxes, trash, and debris strung throughout, can cause harm and possibly damage to cars. Make sure you are happy with the appearance of the shop. If a shop will not allow you to tour the facility, whether for “insurance violation” claims or another reason, this should be a RED flag!
How long will it take to repair my vehicle?
Can I have my car towed directly to your facility from the accident?
